INFINITY TIRE

Guys! No more puncture worries now that Michelin’s ‘Vision tire’ has arrived on the scene! There’s just no need to inflate this tire, it’s 3D printed and expected to last a lifetime, literally! And as if that wasn’t enough, the tires come with high-tech sensors and are 100% biodegradable!

The Michelin airless is 3D-printed from organic, biodegradable materials which are totally recyclable. The tire gets its inspiration from the structures in our lungs known as alveoli. Within the tires, embedded sensors detect when tire tread has run-down and re-printing is required.

Michelin is hoping to eventually generate the product using ‘butadiene’ (a major element in modern synthetic rubber made from straw). They have yet to say when their concept will become a practical reality, yet, they do believe that these tires will soon be available to the general public. Bated breath or what?
