A dream come true, this graduation project made at the Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam by Bjorn Van Den Hout is called the chargeboard.   The chargeboard is a longboard able to generate its own electricity from a dynamo stored in its rear. With the energy that it creates, it is possible to charge your phone. When in motion, each of the chargeboard’s two transformers produce 6 volts of energy which can easily be stored for later consumption.   Once charged, your phone can be attached through an external 2.0 USB port. You can play all your favourite tracks on the built in speakers whilst in motion. After an hour of fearless ‘coasting’, the energy accumulated will be enough to charge your mobile eight times. Then, all a rider needs to do is jack-in and enjoy!
